Spaces with a star-countable k-network, and related results (Q675099)

This paper presents a collection of results related to \(k\)-spaces that have star-countable \(k\)-networks. Conditions that guarantee that a space has a star-countable \(k\)-network are given in the first section, and are used to show that a space is the closed image of a locally separable metric space if and only if it is a Fréchet space with a star-countable \(k\)-network. Such a space can be decomposed into a closed discrete subset and a subset that is the topological sum of \(\aleph_0\)-spaces. The last section gives characterizations for the product of \(k\)-spaces with star-countable \(k\)-networks to be a \(k\)-space.
