Existence and continuous dependence results in the dynamical theory of piezoelectricity (Q676049)

The author deals with the dynamical theory of linear piezoelectricity described by the Maxwell equations, the equation of motion, the strain field associated with the displacement vector field \(u\). The mentioned system of field equations is completed by initial and dissipative boundary conditions. By using the semigroup theory of linear operators, the author obtains an existence theorem. Then the continuous dependence of solutions upon the initial data and the homogeneous body forces is investigated in the last part of this paper.
