      The local existence of solutions of the initial-boundary value problem with a free surface condition for the equations of aqueous solutions of polymers \[ \frac{\partial }{\partial t} (v - \chi \Delta v) - \nu\Delta v + v_{k}\frac {\partial }{\partial x_{k}}(v - \chi\Delta v) + \nabla \rho = f, \] \[ \text{div} v = 0,\;\nu,\chi > 0,\;x \in \Omega,\;t \in \mathbb{R}^{+}; \] \[ v_{n}\mid_{\partial \Omega} = 0,\;(\text{rot} v \times n)\mid_{\partial = \Omega} = 0,\;t \in \mathbb{R}^{+};\;v\mid_{t = 0} = v_{0}(x),\;x \in \Omega. \] is proved. The convergence for \(\varepsilon \to 0\) of the solutions of these problems to the solution of the initial-boundary value problem for the penalized equations of aqueous of polymers is investigated.
