On mixed finite element schemes for nonlinear problems of theory of shells (Q677743)

We investigate mixed finite element schemes for geometrically and physically nonlinear problems of bending of non-slanting shells. The initial variational problem is approximated by a regularized one which, in turn, is replaced by a mixed scheme of finite elements. We establish conditions for solvability of a discrete problem and prove convergence of approximate solution to the generalized solution.
