On the geometry of generalized Finsler space with special metric (Q677768)

In the generalized Finsler space \(F_n\) supplied with the metric \(g_{ij} (x,y)= e^{2\sigma(x,y)} \gamma_{ij} (x)\), the Cartan connection coefficients are explicitly obtained. For this space the dimension of the group of motions is determined. It is proved that there exist five types of \(F_2\) which are different from the Riemannian spaces which allow the same group of motions.
