Consider the equation \[ Lw\equiv \sum_{k=0}^m \sum_{j=0}^{l_k} a_{j,k} \frac{\partial^{j+k}w}{\partial x_1^j\partial x_2^k}=0,\tag{1} \] in which \(m\geq 1\), \(a_{l_m,m}\neq 0\); \(a_{j,k}\) are complex numbers; \(w(x_1,x_2)\) is a complex-valued function. With respect to the variable \(x_2\) the following Cauchy problem is posed \[ \frac{\partial^nw}{\partial x_2^n} \Biggl|_{x_2=0}= \varphi_n(x_1), \qquad n=0,1,\dots, m-1.\tag{2} \] Let \(D\) be a certain subset of the plane \(\mathbb{C}\), containing a point \(x=0\). We seek a solution to problem (1), (2) in the class \(A(L,D)\) of functions \(w(x_1,x_2)\), defined and continuous on the set \(\mathbb{R}\times D\) together with all partial derivatives \(\frac{\partial^{j+k}w}{\partial x_1^j\partial x_2^k}\), \(0\leq j\leq l_k^\cdot\), \(0\leq k\leq m\), such that \(\forall x_1\in R\), \(\forall x_2\in D\), \(w(x_1+2\pi,x_2)= w(x_1,x_2)\).
