It is shown that various propositions on properties of convex sets in direct Busemann \(G\)-spaces, which are described in [\textit{H. Busemann}, The geometry of geodesics, Pure Appl. Math., Academic Press, Vol. VI (1955; Zbl 0112.37002)] remain valid for more general metric spaces.
