This paper describes a Krylov subspace method for solving (non-symmetric) linear systems with multiple right hand sides but the same matrix. This block QMR method is based on a block extension of the classical non-symmetric Lanczos process. Particular attention is paid to deflation phenomena and handling, allowing for individual deflations on the left or right Lanczos vectors. Iterates are defined via a natural extension of the familiar quasi minimal residual property of standard QMR. A variety of illustrative numerical experiments is reported.
