Global existence for nonlinear hyperbolic systems of Kirchhoff type (Q678067)

Using Fourier transform, energy estimates and other techniques, the authors prove the global existence of a unique regular solution of the Cauchy problem for a quasilinear integro-differential system of hyperbolic type satisfying small and smooth initial data. A decay estimate for large time is deduced and several examples of Kirchhoff type equations are given.
