The competitive periodic system \[ u'=F(t,u)\tag{1} \] is investigated, where \(u=(u_1,u_2,u_3) \in\Omega\subset \mathbb{R}^3\) is open, \(F(t,u)= (f_1(t,u), f_2(t,u), f_3(t,u))\) is continuous in \(\Omega\), \(T\)-periodic in the time \(t\in\mathbb{R}\) and has the continuous partial derivative \(\partial F/\partial u\) defined on \(\mathbb{R}\times\Omega\). The structure of the set of fixed points of the Poincaré map associated to (1) is analysed. The periodic Kolmogorov system (a competitor -- competitor -- mutualist model) is studied. Sufficient conditions for the existence of trivial dynamics are established. A mathematical model for a photoconductivity process in intrinsic semiconductors is investigated.
