For \(1\leq p\leq \infty\) and a Banach space \(X\), a set \(K\subset X\) is said to be relatively unconditionally \(p\)-compact (\(u\)-\(p\)-compact) if there exists a unconditionally \(p\)-summable sequences \((x_{n})\) in \(X\) such that \(K\subset\{\sum_{n}\alpha_{n}x_{n}:(\alpha_{n})\in B_{\ell_{p^{\ast}}}\}\), where \(\ell_{p^{\ast}}=c_{0}\) if \(p=1\). The linear operator \(T:X\longrightarrow Y\), between Banach spaces, is said to be \(u\)-\(p\)-compact, in symbols \(T\in \mathcal{K}_{up}(X,Y)\), if \(T(B_{X})\) is \(u\)-\(p\)-compact in \(Y\). In this paper, we find the isometric identifications \(\mathcal{K}_{up}=\mathcal{K}_{up}\circ \mathcal{K}_{up}\) and \(\mathcal{K}_{up}=(\mathcal{N}_{up}^{Q})^{dual}\) and \(\mathcal{K}_{up}(X,Y)^{\ast}=(\mathcal{L}_{p}^{inj})^{\ast}(X^{\ast},Y^{\ast})\) for all Banach spaces \(X\) and \(Y\) with \(X^{\ast}\) having the approximation property or \(Y\) having the \(\mathcal{K}_{up}\)-approximation property, where \(\mathcal{N}_{up}^{Q}\) is the operator ideal of quasi unconditionally \(p\)-nuclear operators and \(\mathcal{L}_{p}\) is the ideal of \(p\)-factorable operators. Among other results, it is also proved that \(T\in \mathcal{K}_{up}(X,Y)\) if and only if \(T^{\ast \ast}\in \mathcal{K}_{up}(X^{\ast \ast},Y^{\ast \ast})\) with the same norm ideal. Finally, the representation of this ideal by a suitable tensor norm is given. The paper continues a currently active line of research, and the author obtains strong and interesting results about the Banach ideal \(\mathcal{K}_{up}\).
