In this paper the authors use the concept of a generalized topological space due to A. Császár which consists of a nonempty set \(X\) together with a family \(\mu\) of subsets of \(X\) such that \(\emptyset \in \mu\) and \(\mu\) is closed under arbitrary unions. The elements of \(\mu\) are called \(\mu\)-open sets, and their complements are the \(\mu\)-closed sets. The \(\mu\)-closure of a subset \(A\) of \(X\) is defined to be the intersection of all \(\mu\)-closed sets containing \(A\) and is denoted by \(c_{\mu}(A)\). The basic definition in this paper is the following: a generalized topological space \((X,\mu)\) is said to be \(\mu\)-monotonically normal if there is a function \(G\) which assigns to each ordered pair \((A,B)\) of disjoint \(\mu\)-closed sets of \(X\) a \(\mu\)-open set \(G(A,B)\) such that (1) \(A\subseteq G(A,B)\subseteq c_{\mu}(G(A,B))\subseteq X\setminus B\) \ and \ (2) \(G(A,B)\subseteq G(A',B')\) \ whenever \(A\subseteq A'\) and \(B'\subseteq B\). In their results the authors provide several characterizations of \(\mu\)-monotonically normal spaces and study their behaviour under \((\mu ,\kappa)\)-continuous and \((\mu ,\kappa)\)-closed maps where a function \(f:(X,\mu)\rightarrow (Y,\kappa)\) is called \((\mu ,\kappa)\)-continuous (resp. \((\mu ,\kappa)\)-closed) if the inverse image of each \(\kappa\)-open set is \(\mu\)-open (resp. if the image of every \(\mu\)-closed set is \(\kappa\)-closed).
