    Let \(X\) be a compact complex \(n\)-manifold, equipped with a complex symplectic structure \(\sigma\), that is a \(d\)-closed \((2,0)\)-form, which is non-degenerate at each point. We recall that, for any such structure, the \textit{Beauville-Bogomolov-Fujiki form} is the quadratic form on \(H^2(X, \mathbb C)\) defined by \[ q_\sigma([\alpha]) = \frac{n}{2} \int_X (\sigma \overline \sigma)^{n-1} \alpha^2 + (1-n) \left(\int_X \sigma^{n-1} \overline \sigma^n \alpha \right) \left(\int_X \sigma^n \overline \sigma^{n-1} \alpha \right). \] This paper is devoted to the proof that, under the assumption that \(X\) satisfies the \(\partial \bar \partial\)-lemma (i.e., under the hypothesis that \(\ker \partial \cap \ker \overline \partial \cap \text{Im} d = \text{Im} \partial \overline \partial\)), the following two properties hold: 1) The quadric \(Q_\sigma:= \{q_\sigma = 0\}\) of \(\mathbb P(H^2(X, \mathbb C))\) is irreducible if and only if \(h^{1,1}(X) > 0\); 2) The form \(q_\sigma\) is non-degenerate if and only if \(h^{2,0}(X) = 1\), i.e., \(H^{2,0}_{\overline \partial}(X)\) is generated by \([\sigma]\).
