The interesting paper under review deals with the Dirichlet problem for the \(1\)-Laplacian operator and a subcritical source term, whose model problem is \[ \begin{cases} -\operatorname{div}\left(\dfrac{Du}{| Du|}\right)=| u|^{q-1}u & \text{ in }\Omega,\\ u=0 & \text{ on }\partial\Omega, \end{cases} \] where \(\Omega\subset\mathbb R^N\), \(N\geq 2\), is an open bounded set with Lipschitz boundary and \(0<q<\frac{1}{N-1}\). The main result of the paper asserts existence of two bounded nontrivial solutions. The proof relies on approximation of the problem studied by \(p\)-Laplacian equations and then passage to the limit when \(p\to 1^+\). Indeed, this procedure is quite delicate and the authors derive suitable a priori estimates for the approximating solutions, together with a type of Pohozaev identity. The results are illustrated by interesting examples of concrete equations.
