Let \(E\) be a commutative unital Banach algebra, \(X\) a compact Hausdorff space, and \(\mathcal{A}\subseteq C(X, E)\) be a Banach \(E\)-valued function algebra. An \(E\)-valued spectrum \(\text{E-sp}(f)\) of \(f\) in \(\mathcal{A}\) is introduced and defined so that the range \(f(X)\) is contained in the \(E\)-valued spectrum. In the paper, it is proved that \[ \text{E-sp}(f)= \{\Psi(f): \Psi \text{ is an \(E\)-character of } \mathcal{A}\}. \] The \(E\)-characters \(\Psi: \mathcal{A} \to E\) were introduced and investigated in [\textit{M. Abtahi}, Banach J. Math. Anal. 10, No. 3, 608--620 (2016; Zbl 1365.46048)]. For natural \(E\)-valued function algebras, i.e., the evaluation homomorphisms \(\delta_x\), \(x\in X\), are the only \(E\)-characters of \(\mathcal{A}\). The authors show that \(\text{E-sp}(f)= f(X)\). Note that, in the case \(E= \mathbb C\), the \(E\)-valued characters reduce to the characters and the \(E\)-valued spectra reduce to the classical spectra. Some examples are demonstrated, including the natural \(E\)-valued function algebra \(C(X, E)\) and the \(E\)-valued Lipschitz algebra.
