Given a moduli space, analyzing whether it has canonical singularities plays an important role in determining its Kodaira dimension, e.g. see the fundamental work of Harris and Mumford for the moduli space of stable curves [\textit{J. Harris} and \textit{D. Mumford}, Invent. Math. 67, 23--86 (1982; Zbl 0506.14016)]. Recently Chiodo, Farkas and Ludwig studied the singular locus of the moduli space of stable curves with an \(\ell\)-torision line bundle for small values of \(\ell\) [\textit{A. Chiodo} and \textit{G. Farkas}, J. Eur. Math. Soc. (JEMS) 19, No. 3, 603--658 (2017; Zbl 1398.14032); \textit{G. Farkas} and \textit{K. Ludwig}, J. Eur. Math. Soc. (JEMS) 12, No. 3, 755--795 (2010; Zbl 1193.14043)]. In this paper, the author considers a generalized moduli space when the line bundle is an \(\ell\)-th root of the \(k\)-th power of the dualizing line bundle of the underlying curve. The main result is a combinatorial description of the canonical and non-canonical singular loci of this moduli space in terms of dual graphs.
