Sign regularity preserving linear operators (Q6864339)

The authors obtain the form of all surjective linear maps on \({\mathbb R}^{m\times n}\) preserving strictly sign regular and sign regular matrices. To classify such linear preservers, they show that it suffices to examine the linear preservers of sign regular matrices of order \(2\). They also obtain the form of all surjective linear maps on \({\mathbb R}^{m\times n}\) preserving sign regularity matrices with a given sign pattern.
