Local uniform grid refinement and systems of coupled partial differential equations (Q686578)

Local uniform grid refinement is applied to systems of coupled time- dependent partial differential equations. When a system of coupled partial differential equations is solved, the behavior of the local and global error associated with each separate partial differential equation can be very different from one partial differential equation to another. A refinement strategy based on a global error analysis has been developed which takes these differences into account.
