\((2,3)\)-generation of \(PSp(4,q)\), \(q=p^ n\), \(p\neq 2,3\) (Q686705)

This paper belongs to a series of similar results where it is investigated whether a finite simple group is generated by an involution and an element of order 3, i.e. is a quotient of \(SL(2,\mathbb{Z})\). The authors show, that the groups \(PSp(4,q)\), \(q=p^ n\), \(p\neq 2,3\) are generated by an involution and an element of order 3. The article also contains a list of references on related work.
