A plane elasticity problem of an infinite elastic plate containing a smooth, rigid, elliptic inclusion subjected to torsional loading has been considered. The inclusion exactly fills the hole when the system is unloaded and the plate is linearly elastic. The loading consists of a pure moment acting on the inclusion and inducing a rotation. The author has presented a computationally efficient method for solving a singular integro-differential equation in the complex plane governing the above problem.
