[For part I see ibid. 58, No. 1, 1-27 (1993; Zbl 0782.65158).] In this second part the author studies the same problem of the discretization in time for a parabolic integro-differential equation but with nonsmooth initial data. By using the same backward Euler method for the advancement in time and a convolution quadrature of the integral term he studies the convergence and stability properties of the method. The author observes that the singularity of the solution arising initially may be divided out by an equivalent Abel-Volterra integral equation for which he applies the same approximate method. He also studies the case when the differential operators involved are approximate operators that depend on the same mesh parameter. An application is also appended.
