Let \(J_ 0(N)/ \mathbb{Q}\) denote the Jacobian of the modular curve \(X_ 0(N)/ \mathbb{Q}\). Fix a prime \(p \geq 5\), and let \(K\) denote the maximal unramified extension of \(\mathbb{Q}_ p\). Given an abelian variety \(A/K\), the connected component of zero of the special fiber of its NĂ©ron model is an extension of an abelian variety of dimension \(a_ k (A)\) by the product of a torus of dimension \(t_ k (A)\) and a unipotent group of dimension \(u_ k (A)\). Using a description of a regular model for \(X_ 0 (N)/K\), with \(\text{gcd} (N,\sigma) = 1\), due to \textit{Edixhoven}, the author is able to compute the numbers \(t_{K_ d} (J_ 0(p^ 2))\) and \(a_{K_ d} (J_ 0(p^ 2))\), where \(K_ d\) is a certain extension of \(K\) of degree \(d \in J: = \{2,3,4,6\}\). Using this he shows that the number of isogeny classes of elliptic curves \(E/\mathbb{Q}_ p\), having potentially good reduction at \(p\), and which are quotients of the Jacobian \(J_ 0 (p^ 2)\), is bounded by \((p/4+4)\).
