Nonparametric renewal function estimation and warranty cost estimation (Q688530)

The authors propose and evaluate a few new non-parametric estimators of the renewal function, some of which being based on approximating the integral equation of renewal theory. These estimators are simple and computationally efficient compared to existing ones. Some simulation results validate the proposed method and a conclusion is given at the end of the paper.
