This is a survey paper about complex supercuspidal representations of reductive groups over non-Archimedean local fields. It treats some results from the last eight years in detail and provides historical background.\N\NThe author chooses the point of view that supercuspidal representations of reductive \(p\)-adic groups are analogous to discrete series representations of real reductive groups and discusses the similarities and the differences. This is the classical theory for reductive groups, of which the author provides a nice concise account.\N\NFor a reductive group \(G\) over a non-Archimedean local field \(F\), the intricacies of supercuspidal representations depend to a considerable extent on a splitting field of \(G\). If \(G\) does not split over any tamely ramified extension of \(F\), then supercuspidal representations are only understood in depth zero and even there not completely. Therefore the author only writes about ``tame'' reductive \(p\)-adic groups, which do split over a tamely ramified extension of \(F\). For such groups \(G\), \textit{J.-K. Yu} [J. Am. Math. Soc. 14, No. 3, 579--622 (2001; Zbl 0971.22012)] devised a construction which provides a rich supply of supercuspidal representations. The complicated construction is covered and it is discussed to what extent it yields a classification of supercuspidal representations.\N\NNext, the paper focuses on Kaletha's non-singular/regular supercuspidal representations (see \textit{T. Kaletha} [J. Am. Math. Soc. 32, No. 4, 1071--1170 (2019; Zbl 1473.22012)]), which can be thought of as those representations arising from the construction by \textit{J.-K. Yu} [loc. cit.] when the starting data include a character of an elliptic torus. This class of representations can be parametrized entirely. Moreover, on a particular subset of \(G\) the character of a regular supercuspidal representation can be described explicitly. Remarkably, that character formula is very similar to character formulas for discrete series representations obtained by \textit{Harish-Chandra} [Acta Math. 116, 1--111 (1966; Zbl 0199.20102)]. The local Langlands correspondence for non-singular supercuspidal representations is also explained.\N\NFor the entire collection see [Zbl 1557.00036].
