Complete Euclidean hypersurfaces with a constant support function have recently been classified by \textit{T. Hasanis} and \textit{D. Koutroufiotis} [Arch. Math. 57, No. 2, 189-192 (1991; Zbl 0697.53012)]. Their method is global in nature and relies on classical results due to Hartman-Nirenberg [\textit{P. Hartman}, Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 115, 94-109 (1965; Zbl 0137.147)] and \textit{R. Sacksteder} [Am. J. Math. 82, 609-630 (1960; Zbl 0194.227)]. By following a more elementary approach based on the Gauss parametrization we classify locally all hypersurfaces in spaces of constant sectional curvature with a constant support function. Then, by checking which of those are complete we are able to extend their result to hypersurfaces of arbitrary space forms.
