Let \(S\) be a unital ring, \(\mathcal L\) its set of non-zero left zero divisors and \(\mathcal L^\complement\) the set of non left zero divisors. Let \(\mathcal R\) be the set of non-zero right zero divisors and \(\mathcal R^\complement\) the set of non right zero divisors. \(S\) is \textit{fusible} if every non-zero element \(a\) decomposes as \(a=b+c=d+e\) with \(b\in \mathcal L,\ c\in\mathcal L^\complement,\ d\in\mathcal R\) and \(e\in\mathcal R^\complement\). An \(S\)-module is \textit{endofusible} if its endomorphism ring is fusible.\N\NThe class of endofusible modules is surprisingly widespread. It lies between the class of modules whose non--zero endomorphisms are monomorphisms and the class of modules whose endomorphism rings are nonsingular. The authors study the properties of fusible rings and endofusible modules and the relationship of this class to other classes of modules including indecomposable (abelian, Artinian, duo) Rickart modules, indecomposable retractable (Hopfian, Noetherian, duo) dual Rickart modules and unit-endoregular modules.
