    Let \(f\) be a primitive holomorphic cusp form for the full modular group and let \(\lambda_f(n)\) be the normalized \(n\)th Fourier coefficient of \(f\). Denote by \(L(s,f)= \sum_{n\geq 1} \lambda_f(n) n^{-s}\), \(L(s, \text{sym}^2 f) = \zeta(2s) \sum_{n\geq 1} \lambda_f(n ^2) n^{-s}\) and \(L(s, f\times f) = \zeta(2s) \sum_{n\geq 1} \lambda_f(n)^2 n^{-s}\), respectively, \(L\)-functions associated to \(f\), its symmetric square and Rankin-Selberg convolution of \(f\) with itself. In the paper under review summatory functions associated to \(L^k(s,f)\) where \(k\) is positive integer, \(L(s, \text{sym}^2 f)\) and \(L(s, f\times f)\) are studied and certain upper bounds and Omega results are deduced. For example, if \(L(s, f\otimes f) =\zeta^{-1}(2s)L(s, f\times f)\), it is well known that its summatory function may be written as \[ \sum_{n \leq x} \lambda_f(n)^2= R_1 x + \Delta(x, f\otimes f), \] for some \(R_1>0\) and the error term \(\Delta(x, f\otimes f) \ll x^{3/5}\). In the paper under review it is proved that for a sufficiently large constant \(B\) \[ \int_{T}^{\infty} \left| \frac{\Delta(t, f\otimes f)}{t^{3/8}} \right| ^2 \exp(-t/T^B) \frac{dt}{t} \gg \log T, \] as \(T \rightarrow \infty\), which implies the Omega result \(\Delta(x, f\otimes f) = \Omega(x^{3/8})\). Similar results are deduced for summatory functions and error terms associated to\(L^k(s,f)\) and \(\zeta^{-1}(2s)L(s, \text{sym}^2 f)\).
