Border-collision bifurcations occur in switched dynamical systems when a fixed point hits a switching manifold under parameter variation. This paper provides a first step in the theory of strict normal forms for border-collision bifurcations, specifically, trivial (where no invariant sets are involved), saddle-node-like, and period-doubling-like border-collision bifurcations are studied. This is done by obtaining differentiable conjugacies in the one-dimensional case.
