The concept of suitable sets for topological groups was introduced by \textit{K. H. Hofmann} and \textit{S. A. Morris} [J. Pure Appl. Algebra 68, No. 1--2, 181--194 (1990; Zbl 0728.22006)]. Similarly, a discrete subset \(S\) of a topologically gyrogroup \(G\) is called a suitable set for \(G\) if \(S\cup \{1\}\) is closed and the subgyrogroup generated by \(S\) is dense in \(G\), where \(1\) is the identity element of \(G\).\N\NThe authors mainly study the existence of a suitable set of strongly topologically orderable gyrogroups and they extend some known results. In particular, they show that each locally compact or not totally disconnected strongly topologically orderable gyrogroup has a suitable set.
