The considered optimal control problem involves a quadratic cost functional and a state that is the weak solution of the Dirichlet problem for a controlled second order elliptic equation. It is assumed that the considered optimal control problem admits a unique solution. The results in this paper are thought to complete the investigation on homogenization of an optimal control problem performed by one of the authors in some joint articles as, for instance---many times referenced herein: [\textit{S. Kesavan} and \textit{J. Saint Jean Paulin}, ``Homogenization of an optimal control problem'', SIAM J. Control Optimization 35, No. 5, 1557--1573 (1997; Zbl 0888.35012)] and [\textit{S. Kesavan} and \textit{J. Saint Jean Paulin}, ``Optimal Control on perforated domains'', J. Math. Anal. Appl. 229, No. 2, 563--586 (1999; Zbl 0919.49005)]. One assumes here that the set \(U\) of admissible controls, in addition to the coefficients of the equation and the cost functional, depends on a parameter \(\epsilon\) which tends to zero, too. The homogenization is studied for non-perforated and perforated domains and for cost functionals dependent and independent on this parameter.
