Let \(G\), \(G'\) be (complex) connected simple algebraic groups, \(P \subset G\) a parabolic subgroup of \(G\), different of its Borel subgroup, and \(B'\subset G'\) a Borel subgroup of \(G'\). The main result of the paper under review is the proof of the non existence of non constant regular maps from the partial flag \(G/P\) to \(G'/B'\). There are two main ingredients in the proof: first, to show that it reduces to the case \(P\) maximal (and not Borel), and second, use the pull-back to \(H^4(G/P)\), \(P\) maximal but not Borel, of a quadratic relation in \(H^4(G'/B')\) to show that any regular map from \(G/P\) to \(G'/B'\) has to be constant.
