Part-silting presilting complexes (Q6921076)

This paper makes a valuable contribution to the active field of silting theory in the derived category of an Artin algebra. It addresses a central question: when a presilting complex can be completed to a silting complex -- a problem of considerable interest, given that such completions do not always exist. The main result establishes that a presilting radical complex is itself silting provided one of its truncations (either a left or a right part) is already silting. This yields a clear and practical sufficient condition for a complex to be silting. As direct applications, the work recovers and generalizes known results on self-orthogonal \(\tau\)-tilting and \(\tau_{n}\)-tilting modules of finite projective dimension, clarifying their relationship to classical tilting modules. Overall, the findings offer deeper structural insight into how local silting properties can determine global ones.
