The purpose of this article is to identify the type \(R_I\) moments of Laguerre, Charlier, Meixner, Al-Salam-Chihara, and continuous dual \(q\)-Hahn, polynomials of two variables. The method of proof is to use a linear functional defined on the vector space of polynomials and a continued fraction expansion of the moment generating function. Some open problems are given.
