LLT polynomials are symmetric functions \(G_{\lambda}(x; q)\) indexed by a tuple \(\lambda\) of skew diagrams, named after their inventors \textit{A. Lascoux} et al. [J. Math. Phys. 38, No. 2, 1041--1068 (1997; Zbl 0869.05068)]. When each skew diagram of \(\lambda\) is a row, a weighted graph \(\prod(\lambda)\) associated to \(\lambda\) is introduced. This research proves that a horizontal-strip LLT polynomial is determined by this weighted graph. As a special case, a combinatorial Schur expansion of \(G_{\lambda}(x; q)\) is obtained when this graph \(\prod(\lambda)\) is triangle-free. Connections to extended chromatic symmetric functions are explored. The open problems at the end of the paper seem to be interesting.
