Let \(\mathcal{C}(\mathbb{R}^n)\) denotes the set of real-valued continuous functions; \(\mathcal{B}_1(\mathbb{R}^n)\) denotes the set of real-valued Baire one functions; \(\mathcal{B}_2(\mathbb{R}^n)\) denotes the set of real-valued Baire two functions; \(\mathcal{B}^h_2(\mathbb{R}^n)\) denotes the set of real-valued honorary Baire two functions (\(f\) agrees with some Baire one function on a co-countable set); \(\mathcal{S}(\mathbb{R}^n)\) denotes the set of real-valued substaintially Darboux-like functions (for any open \({U\subset\mathbb{R}^n}\) and \(U\subset S\subset\overline{U},\) \(f(S)\) is an interval); \(\mathcal{G}(\mathbb{R}^n)\) denotes the set of real-valued Gibson functions (for any open \({U\subset\mathbb{R}^n},\) \(f(\overline{U})\subset \overline{f(U)}\)) and \(w\mathcal{G}(\mathbb{R}^n)\) denotes the set of real-valued weakly Gibson functions (for any connected open \({U\subset\mathbb{R}^n},\) \(f(\overline{U})\subset \overline{f(U)}\)). Some properties of these classes are investigated by the authors. Particularly, it is proved that with respect to the uniform convergence topology the following relations are true \[ {\mathcal{G}(\mathbb{R}^n)=\overline{\mathcal{G}(\mathbb{R}^n)}},\;{w\mathcal{G}(\mathbb{R}^n)=\overline{w\mathcal{G}(\mathbb{R}^n)}},\;\mathcal{B}^h_2(\mathbb{R}^n)=\overline{\mathcal{B}^h_2(\mathbb{R}^n)},\;n\geq1; \] \[ \mathcal{S}(\mathbb{R}^n)\cap\mathcal{B}^h_2(\mathbb{R}^n)=\overline{\mathcal{S}(\mathbb{R}^n)\cap\mathcal{B}^h_2(\mathbb{R}^n)},\;n>1; \] \[ {\overline{\mathcal{S}(\mathbb{R}^n)\cap\mathcal{B}^h_2(\mathbb{R}^n)}\subset w\mathcal{G}(\mathbb{R}^n)\cap\mathcal{B}^h_2(\mathbb{R}^n),\;\mathcal{S}(\mathbb{R}^n)\cap\mathcal{B}_2(\mathbb{R}^n)\neq\overline{\mathcal{S}(\mathbb{R}^n)\cap\mathcal{B}_2(\mathbb{R}^n)}},\;n\geq1. \] The authors also study the set of points of continuity of functions from given classes. Particularly, it is proved that \[ \mathcal{S}(\mathbb{R}^n)\cap\mathcal{G}(\mathbb{R}^n)\cap \mathcal{B}^h_2(\mathbb{R}^n)=\mathcal{C}(\mathbb{R}^n),\;n\geq1. \] This result is interesting in comparison with the one proved in [\textit{M. Evans} and \textit{P. Humke}, Rend. Circ. Mat. Palermo (2) 59, No. 1, 47--51 (2010; Zbl 1189.26016)] for Baire one functions \[ \mathcal{G}(\mathbb{R}^n)\cap\mathcal{B}_1(\mathbb{R}^n)=\mathcal{C}(\mathbb{R}^n)\;n\geq1. \] Some examples of functions from given classes are considered in the article.
