In this paper, the authors investigate optimal feedback control for damped second-order neutral evolution systems, which are described by hemivariational inequalities. To this end, the authors establish the existence of mild solutions for the system by employing non-smooth analysis, hemivariational inequality theory, and fixed point theory for multivalued mappings. Subsequently, the Filippov theorem and the Cesari property are utilized to examine the existence of feasible pairs. Furthermore, under a set of specific conditions, the authors present the optimal feasible pairs. The results of this paper possess significant theoretical value and promote the development of this research field.
