A pointed multiplicative operad is an operad \(\mathcal{O}\) with a special nonzero element in \(\mathcal{O}(0)\) and an associative product \(m\in \mathcal{O}(2)\). It is shown that such an operad can be made a cosimplicial object. As a consequence, \(\mathcal{O}\) can be seen as a chain or a cochain complex. By analogy with Gerstenhaber and Voronov's construction, a brace structure is defined on \(\mathcal{O}\). These constructions are illustrated by examples, mostly based the operad of endomorphisms of a given vector space or on the operad of associative algebras. For the last one, one obtains a differential graded coalgebra structure, identical to Malvenuto and Reutenauer's one on permutations.
