The present research deals with the Zeckendorf theorem [\textit{E.~Zeckendorf}, Bull. Soc. R. Sci. Liège 41, 179--182 (1972; Zbl 0252.10011)] and generalizations of Zeckendorf expansions. The mentioned theorem states that ``each positive integer can be expressed uniquely as a sum of distinct non-adjacent terms of the Fibonacci sequence \((1, 2, 3, 5, \dots)\)''.\N\NExplanations contain descriptions for the generalized Zeckendorf expansions for positive integers (including the attention on the case of periodic positive integers) and the periodic Zeckendorf collections for real numbers in \((0, 1)\), etc. Auxiliary definitions, examples, as well as graphs and proofs are given.\N\NThe main results are following: ``the asymptotic formula of the number of binary expansions that are less than \(x\) and have no adjacent terms'', is investigated; ``the result to the setting of general linear recurrences with nonnegative integer coefficients'', is generalized.
