The authors present a generalization of a well-known theorem of Wermer concerning the availability of analytic structure on Gleason parts [\textit{T. W. Gamelin}, Uniform algebras. Englewood Cliffs: Prentice-Hall (1969; Zbl 0213.40401)]. The framework is that of of non-commutative uniform algebras, that is, algebras of operator valued functions defined on compact Hausdorff spaces.
