The starting point of this extensive exposition is the classical Segal-Bargmann transform \[ {\mathbb B} : L^2({\mathbb R}^n) \to {\mathcal F}({\mathbb C}^n) : u \mapsto \left( z \mapsto e^{- {1 \over 2}z^2} \int_{{\mathbb R}^n} e^{2zx}e^{-x^2} u(x)\, \text{d}x \right), \] which is a unitary isomorphism between \(L^2({\mathbb R}^n)\) and the Fock space \({\mathcal F}({\mathbb C}^n)\) on \({\mathbb C}^n\); the latter space consists of entire functions that are square integrable with respect to the measure \(e^{-|z|^2}\text{d}z.\) For more information on this topic, see [\textit{G. B. Folland}, Harmonic analysis in phase space. Princeton, NJ: Princeton University Press (1989; Zbl 0682.43001)]. The operator \({\mathbb B}\) connects two models of the Weil representation of the metaplectic group \(\operatorname{Mp}(n,{\mathbb R})\), namely the Schrödinger and the Fock model. In this paper, the authors generalize this relationship by replacing the Weil representation by a minimal representation \(\pi\) of any Hermitian Lie group \(G\) of tube type. They do this by defining and constructing generalized Schrödinger and Fock models of \(\pi\) as well as generalizing the Segal-Bargmann transform \({\mathbb B}\). For the Schrödinger model, this has already been achieved, see [\textit{M. Vergne} and \textit{H. Rossi}, Acta Math. 136, 1--59 (1976; Zbl 0356.32020)], and earlier work of the authors. The key idea for constructing generalizations of the Fock space and the Segal-Bargmann transform is to define a geometric quantization of the Kostant-Sekiguchi correspondence of minimal nilpotent orbits (see [\textit{J. Sekiguchi}, J. Math. Soc. Japan 39, 127--138 (1987; Zbl 0627.22008)]). For the generalized Segal-Bargmann transform, the authors are able to find an explicit formula.
