The paper proves that affine Coxeter groups are profinitely rigid. More precisely, it establishes that if \(W\) is an affine Coxeter group and \(G\) is a finitely generated residually finite group with the same finite quotients as \(W\), then \(G\) is isomorphic to \(W\). This extends earlier results by the third and fourth author [J. Algebra 639, 516--531 (2024; Zbl 1531.20051)], where irreducible affine Coxeter groups were shown to be profinitely rigid relative to the class of Coxeter groups, by proving profinite rigidity for arbitrary affine Coxeter groups among all finitely generated residually finite groups.\N\NA key step is a general structural result for crystallographic groups. The authors show that finite quotients determine several features of an \(n\)-dimensional crystallographic group: (a) the dimension; (b) the point group, up to isomorphism and up to \(\mathbb{Q}\)-class; (c) whether the group is torsion free; (d) whether the center is trivial; (e) whether the defining short exact sequence splits; (f) whether the group is just infinite; and (g) the isomorphism type of the abelianization. In particular, profinite rigidity within the class of \(n\)-dimensional crystallographic groups implies profinite rigidity among all finitely generated residually finite groups.
