This paper revisits the asymptotic behavior of real solutions to the Painlevé I equation as \(x\to -\infty\), building on earlier work by Kapaev. The authors focus on three types of solutions classified by the Stokes multiplier \(s_{2}\). Using the Riemann-Hilbert (RH) approach and the Deift-Zhou nonlinear steepest descent method, the authors derive improved asymptotic formulas for both the Painlevé I transcendent \(y(x)\) and its associated Hamiltonian \(\mathcal{H}(x)\). They also correct known typos in earlier asymptotic formulas and provide numerical validations.\N\NThis paper makes significant contributions to the asymptotic theory of the Painlevé I equation. By combining rigorous Riemann-Hilbert analysis with careful error control and numerical validation, the authors advance our understanding of both oscillatory and singular behaviors of real solutions. The work is technically sophisticated, well-structured, and provides a solid foundation for future studies in Painlevé asymptotics and related areas.\N\NThe paper is a valuable addition to the literature and will likely inspire further research in asymptotic methods for integrable systems.
