Let \(h:[0,1]\to[0,1]\) be a contraction. A fixed point \(p\) with \(|h'(p)|=1\) is called \textit{parabolic}. A \textit{parabolic IFS} is a finite collection of contractions allowing such parabolic fixed points. The authors consider IFSs \(\{S_i\}\) on \([0,1]^2\) where each map has product form \(S_i(x,y) = (f_i(x), g_i(y))\) with \(C^{1+\alpha}\) parabolic components satisfying a grid-like separation condition analogous to Barański carpets. The attractors of such systems are called \textit{parabolic carpets}.\N\NFor measures \(\mu\) supported on parabolic carpets, the authors study the \(L^q\)-spectrum\N\[\N\tau_\mu(q) = \lim_{\delta\to 0} \frac{\log D^q_\delta(\mu)}{-\log\delta},\N\]\Nwhere \(D^q_\delta(\mu) = \sum_{Q\in\mathcal{Q}_\delta} \mu(Q)^q\) sums over \(\delta\)-mesh cubes. They introduce the class of \textit{almost quasi-Bernoulli} measures: those satisfying a weak quasi-Bernoulli property on the full alphabet and a genuine quasi-Bernoulli property on an induced uniformly hyperbolic subsystem (see \S2.3).\N\NThe main result (Theorem 6.1) establishes that for almost quasi-Bernoulli measures on parabolic carpets satisfying natural summability conditions, the \(L^q\)-spectrum equals the minimal root \(\beta(q)\) of a natural pressure function. As a consequence,\N\[\N\dim_{\mathrm{B}} F = \dim_{\mathrm{P}} F = \beta(0).\N\]\NAn analogous result (Theorem 4.1) is proved for parabolic Cantor sets, yielding \(\dim_{\mathrm{B}} F = \dim_{\mathrm{H}} F\). The authors also show that for quasi-Bernoulli measures on parabolic Cantor sets, the quantity \(D_\nu(-\infty)\) is always infinite, contrasting sharply with the hyperbolic case.\N\NThe article includes illustrative examples constructed from Manneville-Pomeau maps and discusses open problems concerning Hausdorff dimension and measure.
