A system of second-order nonlinear conservative periodic ordinary differential equations with a perturbation term is treated analytically as well as numerically. It is shown that the system as well as a finite difference analogue posses a unique solution. The accuracy of the numerical model is considered and means of solution of the nonlinear difference systems are discussed.
