This interesting paper studies collocation method for Volterra integro-differential equations with piecewise delays. Delay integro-differential equations of Volterra type with piecewise linear delays have many applications in modelling dynamical systems where time delays play a critical role. Applications in this regard range from neural networks, biological systems, optimal control and delayed dynamical systems. Other applications appear in medicine, nanotechnology, and cyber warfare. The proposed method uniquely combines quasi-\(\theta\)-invariant meshes with polynomial spline spaces to handle discontinuities induced by delays while preserving optimal convergence. Convergence analysis is investigated and examples are given to illustrate the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed method.\N\NThe paper is well written with a good set of references.
