Let \(f(x)\in\mathbb{Z}[x]\) be a monic irreducible polynomial with a root \(\theta\) and \(\mathbb{Z}_K\) be the ring of algebraic integers of the number field \(K=\mathbb{Q}(\theta)\). A classical problem is description and constructions of so called monogenic polynomials having index \([\mathbb{Z}_K:\mathbb{Z}[\theta]]=1\). The authors determine the necessary and sufficient conditions a power compositional polynomial \(f(x^k)\) to be monogenic. Based on their results they study polynomials \(f(x) = x^d+A\cdot h(x)\in \mathbb{Z}[x]\), with \(d > 1, \deg h(x) <d,\) and \(h(0)=\pm 1\). For any \(k\) whose prime factors divide \(A\) it is shown that \(f(x^k)\) is monogenic if and only if f(x) is monogenic, provided that \(f(x^k)\) is irreducible.
