In [SIAM J. Matrix Anal. Appl. 45, No. 1, 478--503 (2024; Zbl 1533.15005)] the authors considered completion problems for a matrix over a polynomial ring \(\mathbb{F}[s]\) over a field, given some of its rows and information about the spectral properties of the completed matrix. The present paper extends this work by dropping a degree requirement and extending the results to matrices over the field \(\mathbb{F} (s)\) of rational functions.
