The author considers the evolution of strictly convex hypersurfaces in \(\mathbb R^{n+1}\) described by the parabolic initial value problem: \[ \left\{ \begin{aligned} \dot X &= -(\log F-\log f)\nu,\\ \nu(M) &= \nu(M_0),\quad M|_{t=0} = M_0, \end{aligned} \right.\tag{1} \] where \(X\) is the embedding vector of a smooth strictly convex hypersurface with boundary, \(M = \text{graph}(-u)|_\Omega\), \(u:\overline\Omega \to\mathbb R\), \(\dot X\) is its total time derivative and \(\Omega\subset\mathbb R^n\), \(n\geq 2\), is a smooth strictly convex domain. The boundary condition (1) is shown to be strictly oblique and lower order estimates are proved. Geometric evolution equations needed for the \(C^2\)-a priori estimates are derived and an estimate for some terms in the evolution equations is obtained. Then, the main theorem is proved by showing that the solution of (1), existing for all times \(t\geq 0\), converges smoothly to a translating solution of the flow equation. The paper is concluded with some remarks on space-like hypersurfaces in Minkowski space, convergence to hypersurfaces of prescribed curvature and on translating solutions for Hessian equations.
