The \(L\)-series of the elliptic curves \(E_{D^2}: Y^2=X^3-2^43^2D^2\), \(D\in\mathbb Z\) were studied by \textit{N. Stephens} [J. Reine Angew. Math. 231, 121-162 (1968; Zbl 0221.10023)]. This paper studies them for certain values \(D\in K=\mathbb Q(\sqrt{-3})\). Concretely, the authors assume that \(D=\pi_1\cdots\pi_n\) is a product of distinct primes \(\pi_k\equiv 1\pmod 6\) in the ring of integers of \(K\). The first main result of the article expresses the value at \(s=1\) of the \(L\)-series of the Grössencharakter attached to the elliptic curve \(E_{D^2}\) in terms of cubic residue symbols and values of the Weierstrass \(\wp\)-function at certain torsion points on the curve. This theorem is then used to find a lower bound for the 3-adic valuation of the special value of the \(L\)-series, which is consistent with Birch and Swinnerton-Dyer's conjecture.
