The authors study long-time behavior of weak solutions of the equation \(w_{tt}+g(w_{t})-\triangle w +f(w)=0\) on \(\Omega \times (0,\infty)\) satisfying the Dirichlet boundary condition and some initial data, where \(\Omega \) is a smooth bounded domain in \(\mathbb{R}^2.\) Under certain assumptions on the functions \(f,g\) they prove the existence, regularity and finite dimensionality of global attractor.
